Sinopsis: Drug abuse and alcohol rehabilitation centers and annexes, establishments of lower standards, have proliferated in the city of Queretaro since 2009. Through the story of Joel, a padrino (godfather), of one of this rehab centers, 12 (Steps) explores the story of ex-patients, current ones, padrinos, and public authorities that become entangled in the world of drug treatment. And tell us their stories and the reality that they live through their daily lives. Using a similar structure to the one used in the therapy that rehab centers implement, this documentary seeks to show the real image of the drug treatment world by approaching the real actors.
